Psalms 107:6

Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.

Let us remember that the Lord hears our prayers. He will deliver us from our distress. He might not deliver us the way we would think or like, but he will deliver us.

1 Timothy 4:1-5

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Let us not get caught up in the ideas of man. We were warned that there will be people who try to create their own rules about how to follow God. We cannot follow these man made ideas.  If we only follow the words of God we will be able to secure our place in heaven. Will you follow the truth or someone else’s ideas?

2 Timothy 3:1-7

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

This is very apparent today in our world. There are lots of people who have all kinds of sinful ways about them that talk about loving and serving God. I know that no one is perfect, but we cannot deny the God’s truth. There are those that deny his truth even though they say they follow Christ. We cannot be like that we must not fall into the traps

Mark 9:11-13

And they asked him, saying, Why say the scribes that Elias must first come? And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. But I say unto you, That Elias is indeed come, and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

Jesus talked about the coming of the Messenger. Notice how he said that Elias would first come and restore all things. This means that Elias could not come before Christ was on the earth at that time because Christ had yet to establish all things. You cannot restore things if they are not created yet

Mark 8:6

And he commanded the people to sit down on the ground: and he took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and brake, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the people.

This holiday week let us give thanks to the Lord for all of our blessings. We do not have anything in our life except it been given to us by the Lord. Let us remember the important things in our lives, with our faith in Christ at the forefront. Thank you Lord for everything.

Enjoy.

Luke 14:16-24

Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.

The Lord is calling people to his supper, are you going to come listen to him or are you going to be busy? We only have one life to follow Christ so we better make the most of it.

Mosiah 2:22

And behold, all that he requires of you is to keep his commandments; and he hath promised you that if ye would keep his commandments ye should prosper in the land; and he never doth vary from that which he hath said; therefore, if ye do keep his commandments he doth bless you and prosper you.

All we have to do to receive Christ’s blessings is to follow his commandments. This sounds very simple and can be if you let the love of Christ into your heart. If don’t let Christ in, it become very difficult to not follow the ways of the world and follow God’s commandments.

Luke 18:10-14

Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Every person on earth is a sinner, but how we handle it is important. If we humble ourselves before God and ask for forgiveness we will be saved. If we boast about how good we are we are not doing what God wants. He want a humble people who rely on him.
