Matthew 18:20
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
Size does not matter. People today think that the more people that are in a Church the bigger presence God has and the true the preaching is. This is not true. God is everywhere. It does not matter how many people are present the truth is still true. Don’t get caught up in size and numbers. Remember our walk with God is one on one, not one on one thousand.
Let us give thanks to the ones before us who have given their lives so that the ones alive can be free. Happy Memorial Day.
Matthew 25:31-34
When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
After all the trials and tribulations there will be peace. The righteous will spend eternity in heaven with Christ and our Lord God. This is our end reward. This is why we are to follow his commandments and suffer trials and tribulations. This will happen, will you be prepared?
Message 86 38-45
There will be great changes in the unsafeness of peoples, homes and travel—dangers will arise. This will tie things up here and navigation will be at a low ebb. Many will seek to run to and fro, still conditions will be hard at times. However, again a change will come and all men will begin to respect one another and work together, bearing one another’s burdens and comfort will come to the humble. Distress of nations and perplexity will be felt everywhere. However, none can save but themselves and that through the Lord. Man will say, ‘Oh that these things were hid from me and I knew them not.’ Have you not been warned of the things to come? There will be riots, strikes, outbursts against the government, picketing and much destruction of property and people, confusion and dismay, emptiness and untrust toward many people. Labor shall rise up against the hand that feeds them: unrest everywhere. For a time these conditions will be terrible, then suddenly a change will come, and peace will take hold of all that look to the Lord and a better way. Deliverance will come as the people seek to work together and love one another: even all, lifting the fallen, the downtrodden, the outcast and preserving hope in mankind. Salvation is free to all that will hear and take hold and work this way.
Even the messenger of the Lord tells us what is going to happen in the future. There are bright spots though however. First off is says that peace will take hold and all will look to the Lord. This will be a great relief after all the hardship that people will have gone though. Second and the most important is that no matter what happens we can still have salvation though Christ. As long as we are following his plan we will spend eternity with him in heaven. That is what is the most important.
Here is the one sermon file from Sunday.
Matthew 24:14-22
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them
that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
There is going to be great pain and suffering on this earth before the second coming of Christ. It will be so bad that God will have to shorten the days just so that some people will make it though alive. Before this happens though it says that the gospel must be “preached in all the world.” This is happing now. The Church of Christ with the Elijah Message is taking the true gospel to all the people of the world. Matthew 24:4-13
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
In the verses above Christ start painting a dim picture of what will happen before his return. We can start to see this in today’s world, but it all has not happened yet. Things will get much worse before Christ returns. I am not trying to negative but realistic. We have to prepare our hearts and our lives for we know not what will happen to us. The last verse is one of most importance. We have to endure to the end. Either the end of our lives or the end of life on earth as we know it.
Matthew 24:34-39
Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
With all the talk this weekend about the end of the world that was supposed to happen Saturday it is a great time to look at when Christ said he would come back. The quick answer is that we don’t know. Only the Lord our God knows when Christ will come back to earth. Anyone who says otherwise is adding their own thoughts to the words of God.
Message 40:6
Great shall be the joy in the hearts of men for they will hear the Lord’s words and humble themselves before him. The law of the Lord shall be written in each heart and all men will obey his will.
I cannot wait until this day. Each person on earth will know the truth of the Lord. There will be no man made additions or changes. There will be no denying Christ. All of mankind will know and understand who is Lord. The only question is will you be ready?
Psalms 64:1-10
To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
Let us put our trust in the Lord. He will guild and protect us when we need it. He is only a short pray away.
Alma 12:30-35
And they began from the time forth to call on his name; therefore God conversed with men, and made known unto them the plan of redemption, which had been prepared from the foundation of the world; and this he made known unto them according to their faith and repentance and their holy works. Wherefore, he gave commandments unto men, they having first transgressed the first commandments as to things which were temporal, and becoming as Gods, knowing good from evil, placing themselves in a state to act, or being placed in a state to act according to their wills and pleasures, whether to do evil or to do good—Therefore God gave unto them commandments, after having made known unto them the plan of redemption, that they should not do evil, the penalty thereof being a second death, which was an everlasting death as to things pertaining unto righteousness; for on such the plan of redemption could have no power, for the works of justice could not be destroyed, according to the supreme goodness of God. But God did call on men, in the name of his Son, (this being the plan of redemption which was laid,) saying: If ye will repent, and harden not your hearts, then I will have mercy upon you, through mine Only Begotten Son; Therefore, whosoever repenteth, and hardeneth not his heart, he shall have claim on mercy through mine Only Begotten Son, unto a remission of their sins; and these shall enter into my rest. And whosoever will harden his heart and will do iniquity, behold, I swear in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.
God’s plan has been set in place since the beginning. He has shared his plan with people for years and years. Will you listen when he tells you about it?
Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
Not everyone who professes Christ will be saved. We have to make sure we follow the Lord’s plan. When we fall away from the plan of God, we fall away from God at the same time. Don’t be fooled by one of the ones who say they are working for God but are not following his plan.
Message 67:4-5
When the Lord speaks answer by your actions. Moreover, he has heard the prayers of this assembly. Continue humble before him. Let Warren M. Nellis be released of his office and trust of the ministry of the Church for he denies the truths of my coming.
God expects us to work for him. When we comment our lives to him, he expects us to worship him and have his light shine through us. We have to change our ways and follow his teachings. If we do not do this he will chastise us. If we hold a position in the ministry we will lose it. God wants people who will stand for and by him.

2 Timothy 3:12-15
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
There will be lots of things that will try to pull us away from Christ. These could be the people in our everyday life or temptations that we run into from time to time. We will even be persecuted for our love of Christ. In all of these trails and temptation we must remain strong and true. For only Christ can give us salvation.
Alma 34:17
Therefore may God grant unto you, my brethren, that ye might begin to exercise your faith unto repentance, that ye begin to call upon his holy name, that he would have mercy upon you; Yea, cry unto him for mercy; for he is mighty to save. Yea, humble yourselves, and continue in prayer unto him. Cry unto him when ye are in your fields, yea, over all your flocks. Cry unto him in your houses, yea, over all your household, both morning, mid-day, and evening. Yea, cry unto him against the power of your enemies. Yea, cry unto him against the devil, which is an enemy to all righteousness. Cry unto him over the crops of your fields, that ye may prosper in them. Cry over the flocks of your fields, that they may increase. But this is not all; ye must pour out your souls in your closets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness. Yea, and when you do not cry unto the Lord, let your hearts be full, drawn out in prayer unto him continually for your welfare, and also for the welfare of those which are around you. And now behold, my beloved brethren, I say unto you, do not suppose that this is all; for after ye have done all these things, if ye turn away the needy, and the naked, and visit not the sick and afflicted, and impart of your substance, if ye have, to those which stand in need—I say unto you, if ye do not any of these things, behold, your prayer is vain, and availeth you nothing, and ye are as hypocrites which do deny the faith.
We need to remember to pray to the Lord always. He will give us the strength we need to live our lives. He will give us the comfort we need when we need comforting. He will bless us and most of all he will love us. In return we must love him and do his work on earth. The means we must love others.
Matthew 22:36-40
Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
As it has been said before and will be said many times again, love is what matters. We are supposed to love our Lord and each other no matter what. We cannot let things of this world cloud our judgment on this issue. God loves everyone, and so should we.
2nd Thesalonians 2:1-7
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
The word of God talks about how mankind would fall away from Christ’s teachings. This has happened. Now thanks to the messenger come to earth we have the true gospel of Christ back with the full authority of Christ. Will you follow the true gospel or a man made one?
