Matthew 7:21-23

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

The truth is very important. Only the ones who follow God’s plan will be allowed in heaven. Christ himself said that there will be people, who thought that they were doing the right thing on earth, be turned away when the times comes. Don’t be one of those people.

Message 70:3

Moreover the Lord has heard the prayers of this assembly and has answered peace—herein is your joy in obedience and in humility: for joy comes by obedience and peace in much assurance.

With our obedience to the Lord we will be blessed with joy and peace. This happens when the Lord is pleased with us. It helps us stay on the correct path. We have to make sure we are following the true words of God and his true plan.

3rd Nephi 4: 30

And they did rejoice and cry again with one voice, saying: May the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, protect this people in righteousness, so long as they shall call on the name of their God for protection.

God will protect us when we need protection. This might come in the form of shelter in storm or the reaction time to stop before an accident. There are many blessing that happen to us every day that go unnoticed, but God is there watching out for us if we ask him too.

2nd Nephi31:15-21

And I heard a voice from the Father, saying: Yea, the words of my Beloved are true and faithful. He that endureth to the end, the same shall be saved. And now, my beloved brethren, I know by this that unless a man shall endure to the end, in following the example of the Son of the living God, he cannot be saved. Wherefore, do the things which I have told you that I have seen that your Lord and your Redeemer should do; for, for this cause have they been shown unto me, that ye might know the gate by which ye should enter. For the gate by which ye should enter is repentance and baptism by water; and then cometh a remission of your sins by fire and by the Holy Ghost. And then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate; ye have done according to the commandments of the Father and the Son; and ye have received the Holy Ghost, which witness of the Father and the Son, unto the fulfilling of the promise which he hath made, that if ye entered in by the way ye should receive. And now, my beloved brethren, after that ye have got into this strait and narrow path, I would ask if all is done? Behold, I say unto you, Nay; for ye have not come thus far save it were by the word of Christ with unshaken faith in him, relying wholly upon the merits of Him who is mighty to save. Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life. And now, behold, my beloved brethren, this is the way; and there is none other way nor name given under heaven whereby man can be saved in the Kingdom of God. And now, behold, this is the doctrine of Christ, and the only and true doctrine of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, which is one God, without end. Amen.

There is only one way to spending eternal life with Christ in heaven. It is real simple: Faith, Repentance, and Baptism. After you complete those steps you just simply continue on your journey that you started with them. You must keep following the straight and narrow path until the end, yours or the earth’s. This is the only way.

Message 84:3-4

Let the Church and all men respect the resurrection, for with it there is hope for all mankind. Come together and worship on the first day of the week—but remember God always. Keep the Lord’s Day holy. Be wise in works and humble in your talk and the Lord will direct in all things.

The life that we chose to live when we follow Christ is not one that only happens on Sunday. It is a lifestyle. It requires us to love God every day. The Lord will bless us with wisdom and knowledge if we only follow his instructions.

1 John 4:7-8

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Love is the basics of the teachings of Christ. The people who talk about love but don’t show it are not of Christ. All true believers love others.
