3rd Nephi 1-3
Behold, now it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words he looked round about again on the multitude, and he saith unto them: Behold, my time is at hand. I perceive that ye are weak, that ye cannot understand all my words which I am commanded of the Father to speak unto you at this time. Therefore, go ye unto your homes, and ponder upon the things which I have said, and ask of the Father, in my name, that ye may understand, and prepare your minds for the morrow, and I come unto you again.
When there are things that we do not understand we should pray and fast and God will give us understanding. It might take a little while, but it will come with trough humble prayer. When you first hear about this work sometimes it can be a little overwhelming. Through prayer understanding will come though.

Message 113:1
“I come with a message from the Lord. I bring refreshing to all who will hear my words the Lord has put in my mouth. I come to speak his words, complying with his Spirit, will, and plan.
The words that John brings from the Lord should give you comfort and joy. When John comes back again like he has promised he would, the message that he will bring will give a new energy that can only come from the Lord. It will be like a hot shower after working all day. It will only be refreshing and energizing though if you listen and believe. Will you believe?

Luke 13:23-30
Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out. And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the north, and from the south, and shall sit down in the kingdom of God. And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.
There are going to be many disappointed people at judgment day. Christ very plainly stats that there is only one way into heaven and we must follow the strait path. There are several that think that if they stay close to the path that they will be ok, but this is not true. We need to search and find the truth in the words of Christ. We must not add or change them to suit us. For if we do all we accomplish is punish ourselves in the next life.

Message 56:3
Read the messages I have brought from time to time; study them. Moreover, heed the warning that is given, abide by the doctrine of Christ, teach it to all people, be ye united in your work. He that will heed the warning will gain thereby. Those that heed not will lose in the end. Be at peace with all men for the Lord will gather his elect and they shall have peace with him.
We need to keep learning about Christ’s words. No matter how much we study, there is always more that we can learn about living like Christ. Once we have learned about Christ we need to go out and teach it to others. We must teach it in a loving way that shows the love of Christ. Those that are looking will hear and be saved.

2 Peter 1:4-8 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ is the only way for us to live a productive life. When I say productive I don’t mean in the ways of the world. I mean in the ways of Christ. Christ wants us to be full of love and humble. He wants us to have his righteousness in us. Will you have things of Christ in you or things of this world?

Alma 36:1
My son, give ear to my words; for I swear unto you, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land.
God will bless us if we follow his word. This does not mean that we will become rich or wealthy, but that we will have what we need and not want. When we start falling away from the Lord we start missing out on those blessings. Will you follow the truth and receive the blessings?

Romans 8:7-11
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Christ is what gives us life. Man will only lead to destruction. When you follow Christ and allow him to enter into your heart you will be clean and full of life. If you don’t have Christ you will be lonely and dead. Which will you chose?

Message 106:6-8
Now hear ye this message and be firmly established in obedience to the commandment of this baptism I bring to rid yourselves of sins and traditions of manmade doctrines wherein Satan has deceived and befuddled the work of God. Thus blindness has been in part. Now arise above it, bring it to pass of God’s great plan. Receive this baptism. Build yourselves in the circle of the Lord. Will it come to pass? Remember the Lord Jesus Christ is the truth, the way of life and salvation—deliverance from all sin. No other way can mankind be saved in the life of the flesh, this life of probation only. Thus mankind chooses this day what his destiny shall be in the hereafter—in the resurrection.
Will you listen to the truth? Will you change your ways to follow Christ’s? There is only one way to salvation, and that is Christ’s. I hope that everyone will listen and follow the truth.

Message 70:10-11
The Lord has been and will be with his people by his Spirit, and his peace shall long linger with the faithful until they become the jewels of God. Fear not, for the end cometh and all must be judged—may your faith bring you to God-ward for then all shall see him at his appearing.
The Lord will be with always. If we keep his commandments we never have to worry about the end. We will be with him when he returns or when our time on this earth is over. Don’t fret about what might happen to you, if you follow the truth your salvation is assured.

II Thessalonians 2:1-7
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. “
This departure from the faith would necessitate a restoration and restitution of God’s holy priesthood authority and a restoration of His Church to the true doctrine of Christ before His return to earth to claim His bride, the Church.

2 Peter 2:1 -3
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.”
Be careful out there. There are many people who claim to be teaching about Christ and this message that are just shouting evil. Make sure you don’t get caught up in the emotions of the speaker and that you look at the words that they are saying. Only people sent by God will teach the truth. The truth can be found in the three books. All teaching must match the written words. If it does not, it is not from God.

Blessing to all this most wonderful day. I thank my Lord for His love for us. This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it. Matt.3:14-16. And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wildness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Timothy 4:1-3
“Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.”
The word of God tells us that the Lord’s Church would fall away from the true doctrine of Christ, that men would begin to teach man-made doctrines, and that they would lead many away from the true doctrine of Christ. Christ’s Apostles understood this well and they taught it to the people. In Timothy we learned how man would add their own traditions to Christ’s teachings leading many away from the truth. We must only follow the truth of Christ, not manmade traditions.

Ezekiel 37:15-20
“The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying, Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? Say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand. And the sticks whereon thou writest shall be in thine hand before their eyes.”
The Nephite people were of the house of Joseph. As like most people of the day, they recorded their history on scrolls and plates. When you take the scroll of Joseph (The Record of the Nephites) and the scroll of Judah (The Bible), they show the clear and true gospel of Christ. The two books don’t conflict each other, they enhance each other.

John 10:16
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd”
We know that the Jews are just one of the twelve tribes of Israel. Some people say that the bible, which records the history of the Jews, is the only record of God’s teachings. But why, if the Jews kept a record of Christ, would it also not make since for the other tribes to do the same? Christ himself also talks about this. Christ said that he was going to visit other people. These people also kept a record of their history and the teachings of God. The Record of the Nephites is this record.

Matthew 11:7-15:
“And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind? But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses. But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come. He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”
Christ himself told us again that John was the messenger that will come with the power of Elijah. This messenger the Lord has promised us has come back to the earth to prepare the way before Christ. The recording of the messages from John the Baptist can be found in the book The Word of the Lord (brought to mankind by an angel). These instructions that God has sent down from heaven have reestablished Christ’s Church on earth and the priesthood that goes with it.
