Hebrews 6:1-2

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

This is the basic gospel of Christ. This is what we have to do to follow Christ. We must first believe and ask for forgiveness with the faith that Christ will do so. Our second action is the act of baptism and conformation into the Church. Thirdly we wait for the resurrection and eternal life with Christ. We must complete all the steps and we must do them in order.

2 Peter 2:1

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

Paul talks about false prophets in his time just like there are false prophets on ours. We have to be really careful not to follow one of these evil people. They sound good to listen to, but are doing the work of the devil. We must always base our belief on the word of God that is written and we know to be true.

Message 85: 10

Many are watching for this work. Some are waiting for something great to stir the world. Few are workers for the cause, having faith for the hope that is in God’s plan.

There is a pent up demand for the truth in the world today. When the time is right the Church will send forth out into the world workers and the truth will be spread throughout the land. Let us be ready.

3rd Nephi 21: 28-29

Yea, and then shall the work commence, with the Father among all nations in preparing the way whereby his people may be gathered home to the land of their inheritance. And they shall go out from all nations; and they shall not go out in haste, nor go by flight, for I will go before them, saith the Father, and I will be their rearward.

The gospel is going to go out to the entire world. God will be there to prepare the way for his truth. All nations will hear it. It is up to us to be ready for the time so that way we can help in the cause.

Psalms 37:1-6

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

The Lord is a lot of things. One of which is comforter. He is always there when we need him. We know that in the end he will stand beside us and all of enemies will disappear. Let us relax in this notion, God will never leave us or forsake us. He will always be there.

Message 93:3

The midnight cry is on. Hear, O ye ends of the earth. Come, the Spirit says, Come. The Lord and the word saith, Come all the way and deliverance will be yours. You will stand in holy places and inherit in the will of the Lord. The Kingdom and dominion shall be the inheritance of the humble and righteous.

Today is the day. Are you going to be ready for the midnight cry? There is only so much time for you to get yourself ready. You must find the truth and then act on it. Don’t wait until it is too late.

April 22, 2012 Message 102 Pt1

April 22, 2012 Larry Gosier

Alma 36:1

My son, give ear to my words; for I swear unto you, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land.

If we are obedient to the Lord we will be blessed. This does not mean that we will be rich, but we will always have what we need. God loves a people who follow his commandments and when this happens he rewards them with prosperity. If we want to get a head, we first need to follow Christ.

1 Kings 18:30-39

And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near unto him. And he repaired the altar of the LORD that was broken down. And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the LORD came, saying, Israel shall be thy name: And with the stones he built an altar in the name of the LORD: and he made a trench about the altar, as great as would contain two measures of seed. And he put the wood in order, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid him on the wood, and said, Fill four barrels with water, and pour it on the burnt sacrifice, and on the wood. And he said, Do it the second time. And they did it the second time. And he said, Do it the third time. And they did it the third time. And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. And it came to pass at the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy servant, and that I have done all these things at thy word. Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that thou art the LORD God, and that thou hast turned their heart back again. Then the fire of the LORD fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

The Lord has sown us his power time and time again. Sometimes it is by a large display like he did for Elijah and other times it is in small ways in our personal life. No matter how he does it though God does exist and is a powerful force.

The turmoil is on. The greatest peril shall fill its place and mankind will inquire of the Lord their God. Their idols shall melt away; for the law shall go forth from Zion, cleansing the hearts of men. They shall stand before, being ministered unto for I come to give light, to instruct, to call, and to point the way.

Today is the day of turmoil. It is time for people to come to their God and receive their salvation. The way is being sent forth, it is up to you to follow.

John 14:5-7

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Jesus is the only way to God. With our we would be lost forever. With him we are found. Are you found?

Message 57:11

Thus saith the Lord your God, ‘Let all be established in my doctrine, be not divided, be ye one in purpose, for I have designed the way. Oh ye my servants, I have called thee to be messengers of peace among my people. My love is unto you and I would have you love one another. Help ye one another and I will send deliverance unto you. My Spirit shall bless you if you will open your hearts to me. Bring my sheep into the fold for I shall be their King and all mankind shall know I have spoken. The words I speak, even by my messenger, must be obeyed. Hear my voice today.’

We have to follow Christ’s teachings and plan. We cannot add to or change it to fit our wants. In doing this we need do the work in a loving manor. We must work together for the greater goal of spreading the word of God.

Matthew 28:16-17

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Do not doubt Christ. He died for our sins and then overcame them with his resurrection. The truth will be reviled to the who earth, if you doubt it, it might to late by the time you realize it was fact the whole time.

Matthew 28:1-10

In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word. And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

He has and is risen. By Christ doing this one action, he has created a way for us to do that same. Through Christ, we all can be raised.

April 01, 2012 Message 98

Matthew 27:46-54

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias. And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink. The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

As we prepare to celebrate Easter this Sunday, let us remember that Christ died for us. He took upon our sins so that we might have everlasting life. This was very hard for him. By taking our sins, he had to leave the presence of God. Today when we sin, we also leave the presence of God. This is why salvation and repentance is so important. Without it, we would be in darkness with no hope of ever seeing light.

Message 68:6

Conditions have come as I told you. Much sorrow is yet to come, suffering and sadness on every hand. Only among the more righteous shall peace be found.

Things will get worse before they get better. If you read the scriptures, you will find that the events leading up the second coming of Christ are not going to be pleasant. But if we make them through it, life will be grand. Let us keep the faith and we will be rewarded.

Message 68:5

The Lord is mindful of his people and has heard the prayers from the heart. I am commanded that answer shall come. Therefore, I came to speak life and the will of the Lord. I am the Elias. I am set to refine and make ready a people before the Lord. This is my mission. Deliverance shall come to many.

This is true today as well. I know that the messenger has not come for many years, but that does not mean that God is not listing to our prayers. It is just not time for us to get our answer yet. It will come because God said it would.
