Message 56:6
Thus saith the Lord, ‘I will lead my people if they will be humble and keep my commandments. Hear ye that are honest of heart and will be humble before me. You shall be tried as Job and many shall learn obedience.’
God tells us right up front that we will have difficulties in our life. But he also says that he will lead us. If we follow God and stay humble there is only one place that we can go, and that is to heaven. So even if times are hard, God will be there to lead us to the reward.

Luke 14:15-24
And when one of them that sat at meat with him heard these things, he said unto him, Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God. Then said he unto him, A certain man made a great supper, and bade many: And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, Come; for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come. So that servant came, and shewed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in hither the poor, and the maimed, and the halt, and the blind. And the servant said, Lord, it is done as thou hast commanded, and yet there is room. And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, That none of those men which were bidden shall taste of my supper.
God will take everyone who will come to his party. The problem is that the people are too busy with their daily lives to go to the Lord’s party. They get caught up in the world of man that they forget about the Lord and his will and way. We have to not focus on earthly things and focus on heavenly things.

Message 103:29
Let not selfishness nor greed come among you.
We must remember to work together in the work of God’s. We cannot add in our personal wishes to his plan of action. If we start battling between ourselves, the Devil has already won before we even start.

2nd Nephi 28:24-32
Therefore, wo be unto him that is at ease in Zion! Wo be unto him that crieth: All is well! Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost! Yea, wo be unto him that saith: We have received, and we need no more! And in fine, wo unto all they that tremble, and are angry because of the truth of God! For behold, he that is built upon the rock receiveth it with gladness; and he that is built upon a sandy foundation trembleth lest he shall fall. Wo be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough! For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little there a little; and blessed are they that hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have. Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man, or maketh flesh his arm, or shall hearken unto the precepts of men, save their precepts shall be given by the power of the Holy Ghost. Wo be unto the Gentiles, saith the Lord God of Hosts! For notwithstanding I shall lengthen out mine arm unto them from day to day, they will deny me; nevertheless, I will be merciful unto them, saith the Lord God, if they will repent and come unto me; for mine arm is lengthened out all the day long, saith the Lord God of Hosts.
The truth is out there, we just have to look for it. We cannot take someone else’s word for it, but must find it ourselves. Each one of us will be judged according to our works against God’s words. Are you prepared for that?

2nd Nephi 28:13-16
They rob the poor because of their fine sanctuaries; they rob the poor because of their fine clothing; and they persecute the meek and the poor in heart, because of their pride they are puffed up. They wear stiff necks and high heads; yea, and because of pride, and wickedness, and abominations, and whoredoms, they have all gone astray save it be a few, which are humble followers of Christ; nevertheless, they are led, that in many instances they do err because they are taught by the precepts of men. O the wise, and the learned, and the rich, that are puffed up in the pride of their hearts, and all they that preach false doctrines, and all they that commit whoredoms, and pervert the right way of the Lord, wo, wo, wo be unto them, saith the Lord God Almighty, for they shall be thrust down to hell! Wo unto them that turn aside the just for a thing of naught and revile against that which is good, and say that it is no worth! For the day shall come that the Lord God will speedily visit the inhabitants of the earth; and in that day that they are fully ripe in iniquity they shall perish.
Christianity of the world today is not what Christ left with he established his church. He did not teach that we need big fancy buildings, that we should only help out the poor at Christmas, or that if we give him a little of our money that we should be able to keep the excess. The people who follow this idea that God wants us to be rich are going to have a eye awaking experience in the future. We must remember that God wants us to be loved and to love others. Not collect earthly possessions.

2nd Nephi 28:17-23
But behold, if the inhabitants of the earth shall repent of their wickedness and abominations they shall not be destroyed, saith the Lord of Hosts. But behold, that great and abominable church, the whore of all the earth, must tumble to the earth, and great must be the fall thereof. For the kingdom of the devil must shake, and they which belong to it must needs be stirred up unto repentance, or the devil will grasp them with his everlasting chains, and they be stirred up to anger, and perish; For behold, at that day shall he rage in the hearts of the children of men, and stir them up to anger against that which is good. And others will he pacify, and lull them away into carnal security, that they will say: All is well in Zion; yea, Zion prospereth, all is well—and thus the devil cheateth their souls, and leadeth them away carefully down to hell. And behold, others he flattereth away, and telleth them there is no hell; and he saith unto them: I am no devil, for there is none—and thus he whispereth in their ears, until he grasps them with his awful chains, from whence there is no deliverance. Yea, they are grasped with death, and hell; and death, and hell, and the devil, and all that have been seized therewith must stand before the throne of God, and be judged according to their works, from whence they must go into the place prepared for them, even a lake of fire and brimstone, which is endless torment.
There is always hope that people will see the lies that are being told today and come to Christ and his truth. God will always allow people to repent of their sins up to the end time. The ones that don’t come to Christ though will have to pay for their sins.

2nd Nephi 28:7-12
Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us. And there shall also be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry; nevertheless, fear God—he will justify in committing a little sin; yea, lie a little, take the advantage of one because of his words, dig a pit for thy neighbor; there is no harm in this; and do all these things, for tomorrow we die; and if it so be that we are guilty, God will beat us with a few stripes, and at last we shall be saved in the kingdom of God. Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark. And the blood of the saints shall cry from the ground against them. Yea, they have all gone out of the way; they have become corrupted. Because of pride, and because of false teachers, and false doctrine, their churches have become corrupted, and their churches are lifted up; because of pride they are puffed up.
We must not think of today, but of tomorrow. We have to live our lives in such a way that if tomorrow does not come for us we do not end up separated from God. We must not be tricked into thinking that God’s teachings do not apply to us or that we can always come back later and fix things. Later might not come.

2nd Nephi 28:1-6
And now, behold, my brethren, I have spoken unto you, according as the Spirit hath constrained me; wherefore, I know that they must surely come to pass. The things which shall be written out of the book shall be of great worth unto the children of men, and especially unto our seed, which is a remnant of the house of Israel. For it shall come to pass in that day that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other: Behold, I, I am the Lord’s; and the other shall say: I, I am the Lord’s; and thus shall every one say that hath built up churches, and not unto the Lord— And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance. And they deny the power of God, the Holy One of Israel; and they say unto the people: Hearken unto us, and hear ye our precept; for behold there is no God today, for the Lord and the Redeemer hath done his work, and he hath given his power unto men; Behold, hearken ye unto my precept; if they shall say there is a miracle wrought by the hand of the Lord, believe it not; for this day he is not a God of miracles, he hath done his work.
If you look around the today, you will see this happening. People are creating their own rules and then proclaiming them as if they were from God. God is not a part of this creation. God has his truth and that truth is what we are going to be judged against, not the ideas that we create. Listen to the Holy Ghost, follow the truth.

Luke 13:11-17
And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loose his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering? And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day? And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.
The work of God takes a break for no one. We should not get caught up in our own traditions to lose sight of what is important. God should be our focus, not the way we go about doing his work. If we keep our eyes on him, we can make it through the clouds.

Message 111:6
Let all repent and receive this authority I send for mankind, the pure love of God, saith the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.’
Strait from Christ, all must repent and receive his authority. We cannot make up own, but have to submit to his authority and teachings.

2nd Nephi 25:15-18
Wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered among all nations; yea, and also Babylon shall be destroyed; wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered by other nations. And after that they have been scattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations, yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind—and when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name, with pure hearts and clean hands, and look not forward any more for another Messiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things. And the Lord will set his hand again the second time to restore his people from their lost and fallen state. Wherefore, he will proceed to do a marvelous work and a wonder among the children of men. Wherefore, he shall bring forth his words unto them, which words shall judge them at the last day, for they shall be given them for the purpose of convincing them of the true Messiah, who was rejected by them; and unto the convincing of them that they need not look forward anymore for a Messiah to come, for there should not any come, save it should be a false Messiah which should deceive the people; for there is save one Messiah spoken of by the prophets, and that Messiah is he which should be rejected of the Jews.
There will be a time when the Jews have an opportunity to come to Christ. They are still part of his people and as such will be shown the truth. The question is will they listen. The time is getting closer to the second coming.

Hebrews 3:11-15
So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
We must remain faithful until the end. We should try to help each other to stay close to the word of God and not stray from the truth. We must not harden our hearts to what God has for us to do and the direction that he wants us to go. If you fall away it will not be pretty for you in the end.

Message 112:5
Let none take part in this work until they come in by the door of baptism and are repentant of their sins and traditions of men, their manmade doctrines and styles of worship. Let none teach or preach that are not a part of this work. Let all learn the truth and come to this work. Salvation is of the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Let the hands of the faithful carry on. Zion must come forth.
There is only one way to become a member of Christ’s Church, through the gate that he opened. We must strive to keep the truth in tact and not add any man made traditions. We must also make sure that we new people join they leave their tradition behind.

Alma 37:30-31
For behold, they murdered all the prophets of the Lord which came among them to declare unto them concerning their iniquities; and the blood of those which they murdered did cry unto the Lord their God for vengeance upon those which were their murderers; and thus the judgments of God did come upon these workers of darkness and secret combinations. Yea, and cursed be the land forever and ever unto those workers of darkness and secret combinations, even unto destruction, except they repent before they are fully ripe.
If we turn away from God we know that we will pay for it with both our soul and with the pain that we suffer here on earth. Sometimes it looks like the people who turn away from God have a great life, but there is an emptiness that only God can fill. Also when the time comes to stand before him during judgment those people will be very sad with the outcome. On the bright side though, there is always the possibility that these people will come to Christ. We cannot give up on them.

Revelation 20:12-15
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
For the people that do not follow Christ the end does not look that fun. I hope that you find the truth and then act according.

Luke 13:23-28
“Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are: Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets. But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.”
There will be a great number if people who think they are fallowing God, but are not. When these people reach judgment they will see that they truth was out there, but they did not look for it. We cannot create the path of salvation ourselves. We must follow the path that is already built. Only the truth will set you free.
