Exodus 20:15

Thou shalt not steal.

We should not take from others. This includes large things that we think about, but also includes small things. Stealing is stealing, no matter the size.

Here are the recordings for the Assembly Day One. You can expect the rest over the next few days.

Assembly 2012 Day 1 Phil Meilhs

Assembly 2012 Day 1 Terry Laws

Exodus 20:14

Thou shalt not commit adultery.

We should not take go against our promise to our spouse. As Christ thought this even includes the thought of adultery. We need to keep both clean hearts and clean hands.

Here is this week’s files. I hope you enjoy them.

August 05, 2012 Message 108

August 05 2012 Larry Gosier

Exodus 20:13

Thou shalt not kill.

Plain and simple. Killing is not what the Lords wants us to do. Taking a life not the will of the Lord.

Exodus 20:12

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

We should respect and listen to our parents. This is like the relationship that we have with God. If we listen and follow his guidance we will have a blessed and fruitful life.

Exodus 20:8-11

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

We should take a day off from each week and use it to celebrate our salvation and worship our Lord. Sunday’s are day of rest to think about what Christ has done for us and to give him thanks.

Exodus 20:7

Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

This one is pretty simple, just don’t do it. God does not like it and it does not make you sound intelligent.

Here is this week’s one sermon file. Enjoy.

Exodus 20:5-6

Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

As with the previous two commandments we see that God wants us to keep him and only him on our minds. We should not pray or worship things or ideas that could be considered a God or an image of a God.
