Alma 21:5-10
Therefore, as Aaron entered into one of their synagogues to preach unto the people, and as he was speaking unto them, behold there arose an Amalekite and began to contend with him, saying: What is that that thou hast testified? Hast thou seen an angel? Why do not angels appear unto us? Behold art not this people as good as thy people? Thou also sayest, except we repent we shall perish. How knowest thou the thought and intent of our heart? How knowest thou that we have cause to repent? How knowest thou that we are not a righteous people? Behold, we have built sanctuaries, and we do assemble ourselves together to worship God. We do believe that God will save all men. Now Aaron said unto him: Believest thou that the Son of God shall come to redeem mankind from their sins? And the man saith unto him: We do not believe that thou knowest any such thing. We do not believe in these foolish traditions. We do not believe that thou knowest of things to come, neither do we believe that thy fathers and also that our fathers did know concerning the things which they spake, of that which is to come. Now Aaron began to open the scriptures unto them concerning the coming of Christ, and also concerning the resurrection of the dead, and that there could be no redemption for mankind save it were through the death and sufferings of Christ, and the atonement of his blood. And it came to pass that as he began to expound these things unto them they were angry with him, and began to mock him; and they would not hear the words which he spake.
When we go out to spread the word of God it is important for us to remember that if people do not listen, it is God that they are rejecting not us. There will be people that will fight and try to harm us from doing the lord’s work. The devil has hardened the hearts of the people so that they will not list, even when scriptures are used. It is easier to keep believing the same traditions as it is to believe the truth, even though most can’t explain those beliefs. We have to have faith in God that he will water our seed and protect us when we are doing his work. There will be many people who don’t like the truth, but we still have to tell it to them.

Message 50:13
Storms and earthquakes shall come and the nations must know the Lord is God.
There will be a time that people will know that God is in charge. In the last few years the number a dramatic natural disasters around the world have escalated. If you believe man, it is our doing, but God told us that he would cause these things to happen as a warning to all people. Let us heed the warning and follow his commandments and the teachings of Christ.

Matthew 28:1-7
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.
As Yesterday was Easter we need to keep in mind what we are celebrating. Egg and candy are fun, but Easter is about the resurrection. The key to our salvation in Christ is not that he died, but that he arose from that death. Through his resurrection we might ourselves rise one day. And is what we celebrated yesterday.

Matthew 7:21-23
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
It is not enough to just say that you follow Christ and then half way do it. You must follow his commandments and follow his gospel. We have to follow Christ’s plan of salvation, not make up our own. There will be many people who do not make it into heaven that thought they were doing the right things. It is is important that we study and read Christ’s words.

2 Timothy 3:1-7
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
This is very apparent today in our world. There are lots of people who have all kinds of sinful ways about them that talk about loving and serving God. I know that no one is perfect, but we cannot deny the God’s truth. There are those that deny his truth even though they say they follow Christ. We cannot be like that we must not fall into the traps.

Alma 21:1-12
Now when Ammon and his brethren separated themselves in the borders of the land of the Lamanites, behold Aaron took his journey towards the land which was called by the Lamanites, Jerusalem, calling it after the land of their fathers’ nativity; and it was away joining the borders of Mormon. Now the Lamanites and the Amalekites and the people of Amulon had built a great city, which was called Jerusalem. Now the Lamanites of themselves were sufficiently hardened, but the Amalekites and the Amulonites were still harder; therefore they did cause the Lamanites that they should harden their hearts, that they should wax stronger in wickedness and their abominations. And it came to pass that Aaron came to the city of Jerusalem, and firstly began to preach to the Amalekites. And he began to preach to them in their synagogues, for they had built synagogues after the order of the Nehors; for many of the Amalekites and the Amulonites were after the order of the Nehors. Therefore, when he saw that they would not hear his words, he departed out of the synagogue, and came over to a village which was called Ani-anti, and there he found Muloki a preaching the word unto them; and also Ammah and his brethren. And they contended with many about the word. And it came to pass that they saw that the people would harden their hearts, therefore they departed and came over into the land of Middoni. And they did preach the word unto many, and few believed on the words which they taught.
Don’t be like the Amalekites. The Amalekites were so deep into their own tradition that they would not hear the world of God. Even with Ammon used scriptures, they would not believe. You do not want to be one of the non believers with Christ comes back. All the information is there for you to study, the question is will you listen?

Message 73:1-4
“Write the message I will give you. Take heed the words I speak, for I speak the Lord’s words and will. The Lord your God has sent me in the past and I will yet come in the future. I come now with a message. I am the Messenger of the Lord, the forerunner of the Christ that will come for his own. All those that love his appearing shall find rest and peace with him. I am John the Baptist, the Elias, which was for to come. I come at the Lord’s appointing. I am the Branch; he that shall prune, refine and purify all that may dwell in the presence of the Lord and King of kings. I bring peace like a river and the flowing stream of joy and life to all that heed and obey. I come that the plan might be fulfilled and great peace established.
Here the messenger does a great job of telling us what his mission is and where he comes from. John is here to tell us the words of God. These are words of encouragement and instruction. They tell us what we need to do and give us the assurance to do it. Let us follow these instructions and apply them to our daily lives.

John 8:34
Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.
Don’t be a servant of sin, be a servant of God full of love.

Message 82:4
You are the remnant of the faithful down to this day and time in which the Lord will do a work, and deliver his people as in the days of old.
The members of the Church today are the same people of God as the days of old. Just because we are alive today does not mean that we cannot be his chosen people. We are a part of those people.

Mormon 9:11-12
But behold, I will show unto you a God of miracles, even the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob; and it is that same God which created the heavens and the earth, and all things that in them is. Behold, he created Adam, and by Adam came the fall of man. And because of the fall of man came Jesus Christ, even the Father and the Son; and because of Jesus Christ came the redemption of man.
Christ made it possible for us to be with God. Christ provided a way for us to wash ourselves from our sins that we have committed. Only through him are we able to live forever with our Lord in heaven.

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Christ makes everything better. No matter where we are or what situation that we are in, if we follow Christ, we will be better off than if we don’t. Each one of us might have difficult times in our lives, but Christ will never leave us and in the end we forever be happy with him.

Alma 37:33
Preach unto them repentance, and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ; teach them to humble themselves and to be meek and lowly in heart; teach them to withstand every temptation of the devil, with their faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.
The base of the Gospel of Christ is that we have to have faith in Christ and that he will take away our sins when we repent. We also have to strive to stay clean and like Christ. Being a follower of Christ is not a part time job.

Message 88:15
Mankind shall live by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God, the very eternal Christ the Lord and Maker of all. He cometh down with power in his word.
We cannot change what God will judge us against. I encourage you to look at God’s words and see if you are following them. We cannot make up our own and expect him to use them. Read, study and pray. His words and meaning will come to you though the spirit.

And now, I ask, what great blessings hath he bestowed upon us? Can ye tell? Behold, I answer for you; for our brethren, the Lamanites, were in darkness, yea, even in the darkest abyss, but behold, how many of them are brought to behold the marvelous light of God! And this is the blessing which hath been bestowed upon us, that we have been made instruments in the hands of God to bring about this great work. Behold, thousands of them do rejoice, and have been brought into the fold of God. Behold, the field was ripe, and blessed are ye, for ye did thrust in the sickle, and did reap with your mights, yea, all the day long did ye labor; and behold the number of your sheaves! And they shall be gathered into the garners, that they are not wasted.
Let us be the tools of God. There needs to be a great work done and someone has to do it. Are you going to prepare yourself to be the tool that God uses for the harvest? We have the instructions located in The Bible, The Record of the Nephites, an The Word of the Lord. We you follow them?

Message 43:12
Read the words I send unto you by my messenger. Study them and obey my will fully, and eternity shall have place for you.
We have to follow all of God’s words, not just the ones that we want to. We cannot pick and chose the ones that we want. If you want to know if what you believe is of God just research it in the scriptures and ask God for his sprit to lead you. It takes both to find the truth.

John 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Many people assume that the Jews were the only people that Christ dealt with. He himself said that he had other sheep that he was going to visit. These people are the Nephites and their story can be found in The Record of the Nephites. These are members of the tripe of Joseph of the House of Israel. There will be more about this in the next few days.

Message 40:6
Great shall be the joy in the hearts of men for they will hear the Lord’s words and humble themselves before him. The law of the Lord shall be written in each heart and all men will obey his will.
I cannot wait until this day. Each person on earth will know the truth of the Lord. There will be no man made additions or changes. There will be no denying Christ. All of mankind will know and understand who is Lord. The only question is will you be ready?
