3rd Nephi 15:1-9

And now it came to pass that when Jesus had ended these sayings he cast his eyes round about on the multitude, and saith unto them: Behold, ye have heard these things which I have taught before I ascended to my Father; therefore, whoso remembereth these sayings of mine and doeth them, him will I raise up at the last day. And it came to pass that when Jesus had said these words he perceived that there were some among them which marveled, and wondered what he would concerning the law of Moses; for they understood not the saying that old things had passed away, and that all things had become knew. And he saith unto them: Marvel not that I said unto you that old things had passed away, and that all things had become new. Behold, I say unto you that the law is fulfilled that was given unto Moses. Behold, I am he that gave the law, and I am he which covenanted with my people Israel; therefore, the law in me is fulfilled, for I have come to fulfill the law; therefore it hath an end. Behold, I do not destroy the prophets, for as many as have not been fulfilled in me, verily I say unto you, shall all be fulfilled. And because I said unto you that old things hath passed away, I do not destroy that which hath been spoken concerning things which is to come. For behold, the covenant which I have made with my people is not all fulfilled; but the law which was given unto Moses hath an end in me. Behold, I am the law, and the light. Look unto me, and endure to the end, and ye shall live; for unto him that endureth to the end, will I give eternal life.

The Law of Moses is complete. We no longer have to worry about all the old way of doing things. Through Christ we no longer have to follow the Law. This is a great thing, now we have a much clearer way to salvation. That way is through Christ and his teachings.

Message 73:6

The Lord knoweth the hearts of mankind and wherein they desire to learn and do his will, it shall be like precious ointment poured out upon the faithful to dwell in this light of life and salvation. For unto them, shall be great joy, that which the mind of man has not yet attained to.

If we are looking for the Lord we will find him. When we find him we will receive his blessings. The peace and joy that comes from the Lord  is comforting.

Alma 36:1

My son, give ear to my words; for I swear unto you, that inasmuch as ye shall keep the commandments of God ye shall prosper in the land.

God will bless us if we follow his word. This does not mean that we will become rich or wealthy, but that we will have what we need and not want. When we start falling away from the Lord we start missing out on those blessings. Will you follow the truth and receive the blessings?

Message 75:5

Let not division come among you. For the old law and its traditions are finished and is not a part of the gospel of Christ, in its sabbaths and burning of bloods—but forgiveness, humility, and sincerity, in the humble way of the Lord in obedience to the words Christ spoke in his gospel.

We must hold firm on the truth of Christ and his gospel. We cannot add or subtract from it. Christ’s gospel is the foundation of the church, and if we change it the whole thing is will crumble. Let us keep the traditions of man out of our worship and focus instead on Christ.
