Message 59:4

I cried repentance in the days that are past, my message is repentance today. Let all men repent of their sins and selfish ways, for sin cannot receive the glory of God nor the power of the Lamb slain. Except they repent they cannot be redeemed from that awful state. For the Lord has prepared the way of redemption and he has spoken. It is Christ’s words that shall judge all men, therefore, he cannot use man of his own way, for man’s heart is filled with selfishness.

God has put together a great plan for our salvation. It is up to us to follow it. There key points are repentance, baptism and follow Christ. We must repent of our sins that we, ourselves, have committed. After that we must be baptized by one having the authority to do so. We then follow Christ’s teachings in our daily lives. We cannot follow the teaching of a man for we will be judge against Christ’s. I challenge you to look at your life and see where you are in the plan. If you need to repent and be baptized, then let do it. If you have been baptized how well are you following the instructions that we have?

Message 49:8-9

Let the work continue in all parts, many are coming to do the Lord’s will. Let all be up and doing for their responsibility is to represent Christ and his Church. Those that would be his bride must come in by the door and be baptized. Let the hands be laid on all that the Lord will confirm their work by the Holy Ghost. There are many that have long represented Christ. Those that will hear his voice in very deed will come into the Church of Christ that is again being established with all its gifts and blessings, and represent Christ and his Church.

When you hear about the Elijah message, you need to act on it. When we learn something new and don’t act on we are worse off than we were before even though we might be doing the same thing as before. As you learn and understand the truthfulness of this gospel and message, we need to act on it. This includes being baptized into the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message.

Message  53:3

Give ear, Oh ye people of the earth. Hear the warning today. I speak the words and will of the Lord. Let all have faith. Turn to the Lord and obey his commands. Heed repentance and baptism that the way of the Lord shall be among men; his Kingdom shall fill the whole earth. The hands must be laid upon all that the greater light might come to them.

Repentance and baptism is the only way to be close to the Lord. There will be many people who listen and are bless, make sure that you are one of them. It is important that follow God’s plan.

Message 18:5

Take the message as I told you, from house to house; many will be glad to heed it. Preach repentance and faith, for all must have faith in God and his work. All must repent and be baptized for the remission of sin, the hands must be laid upon all, that the Spirit of God might come to the children of men in greater power, and it will to those that are humble and full of love and have great faith in God.

Everyone needs to hear this message about baptism. No one is above the plan of God. Ask yourself if you truly are following his plan and doing his will.

Romans 3:22-26

Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.

No one is above the need for baptism. We all must go under the water to wash away our sins. Baptism is also something that we need to do ourselves and not something that others can decide for us. We have to have that walk with God, not our parents or friends, but each of us personally.

Acts 10:42-43

And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

Only though Christ can your sins are forgiven. We must believe on him and follow his gospel. This starts with baptism. All we have to do is believe and then act on that belief. It is not complicated or hard.

Acts 3:19-21

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

With repentance comes total salvation and forgiveness. Christ does not go through your sins and says which ones are forgivable and which ones are not, he forgives them all. We need to do this before Christ returns. We do not know the day or hour that it will happen, so we need to be ready.

Acts 2:37-39

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

To spend eternity with God, we must follow the instructions of Christ. This means that we must repent or our sins and be baptized. This is the only way to start. Baptism will wash away all that you have done wrong in the past, no matter how bad, if you are truly repentant, God will forgive your sins. This would be a great way to start the New Year.

As this is the last day of the year, let us take the time to look back and thank the Lord for all that he has done for us. Let us also look ahead at the new year and strive to serve him better. Most people think that the New Year is a time to start over. This is a great time to dedicate or rededicate yourself to Christ. If you have not been, this is a great time to be baptized into the Church of Christ and have all your transgressions washed away. If you are interested in this please let know at contact@elijahmessage.net. We would love to talk to you about it.

Hebrews 6:1-3

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.

This is the gospel of Christ. Faith, repentance, baptism, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal life. In order to come into the kingdom of heaven, you must follow this pattern. There are no shortcuts. If you want to be listed as a follower of Christ, you must repent and be baptized into his church by the ones having the authority to do so. Message 85:4-5

Let mankind come all the way. Those that will hear the small whisper, hear the loud voice, hear the call of God may thrust in their sickle and reap, for the harvest is white—nigh unto gathering. I have spoken prudently, and surely. This is the assured way.  Let all that come be baptized and the hands laid on them that the Lord by his Spirit may confirm their works.

Sometimes when the Lord calls us, it is not very loud. Most people expect there to be a large event that God will use to call us home, but sometimes it small everyday events. When you do hear the whisper listen closely, and it will become louder and clearer. When you hear the Lord, make sure you come to him, but do it correctly by the way of baptism and the laying of the hands.

Alma 6:2-3
And it came to pass that whomsoever did not belong to the church who repented of their sins was baptized unto repentance, and was received into the church. And it also came to pass that whomsoever did belong to the church that did not repent of their wickedness and humble themselves before God—I mean those which were lifted up in the pride of their hearts—the same were rejected, and their names were blotted out, that their names were not numbered among those of the righteous.
God has a path to salvation. That path is though repentance and baptism. If you repent and strive to serve the Lord, you will make it to haven. However, if you don’t repent, even if you have been baptized, you will not make it to haven. Our walk with Christ does not stop when we are baptized, that is when it starts.
Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.  Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

When Christ told his follower to go out and spread the word, he told them what to do. He said to teach his commandments, that he is always with us, and to baptize in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. He told us  to go to all nations and do this. I it comforting to know that Christ has a plan in place and that he is always with us. Let us do our best to follow that plan and allow him to help us.

Here is the last video from Africa. I hope you enjoy it.  It is of several people joining the Lords church.

Today was a great day to cap off the 2010 Assembly of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message.  In the morning Elder Edward Coffey lead a word study that covered the 35th and 36th messages. It is amazing how all the words that God gives flow together.

After lunch Evangelist Norris Purifoy talked about how God and his word is always the same and does not change.  He is the beginning and the end. We have to follow the true spirit of God and his commandments. We need to do his bidding, not our own.

After Norris taught, Evangelist Chris Laws spoke on repentance and baptism.  We have to follow God’s plan to receive our salvation, we can not alter it in any way. That way is by Faith, Repentance, and Baptism.

Right before dinner, Aaron E. Staley was baptized into the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message. It was a great celebration of a new birth in Christ

The Baptism:

The conformation:

In the evening Apostle Terry Laws and Disciple Beck recapped the week and emphasized how we need to follow all the words of God.  After Terry spoke sacraments were served to the members present.

What was witnessed in Heaven?  Why an angel earthly bound.

Had he something in his bringing?  Yes — The Gospel’s Joyful sound.

It was to be preached in power,

Upon the earth the angel said,

To all men, all tongues and nations,

That upon its face are spread.

.

Had we not before the Gospel?

Yes –had several taught by men.

Then what is this latter Gospel?

Tis the first one come again.

This was preached by Paul and Peter,

And Jesus Christ, the head.

This we latter saints are preaching,

We their footsteps wish to tread.

.

Where so long had been the Gospel

Did it ever fall away?

What became of those neglected?

God is just, is all we say.

Seek no crop where none is planted,

Nor a day where reigns the night.

Now the sunshine bright is beaming,

Let all churches see aright.

.

For ’tis the very John the Baptist,

Down to earth has made his flight.

He has come as the very Elias,

To set all Christendom, aright,

The Gospel with angelic admonition–

‘Tis deliverence, and the way.

The gate is baptism through the water,

To bring us to that Eternal day.

Message 69:9

“This is a holy work and mankind must come humbly before the Lord. Let repentance and baptism be the answer in action by each one coming into this work. Let the hands be laid on all that the Spirit might come to them in great power and deliverance in time of trials. Let great faith rule in love. Let peace be in each heart and soul, in your homes, and avoid contentions. Trust not in traditions of men, nor the ways of man, nor flesh. They will not save you.”

When we are looking for the truth that Jesus teaches us in the bible, it is important to get to basics and find it ourselves.  We need to know what we believe is true because God told us through the sprite, not our friends or family.  Each one of us has our own salvation to worry about, and only we can attain it. To be able to join God’s church, there has to be a path that has been set forth to follow.  That path is repentance, baptism, and laying on of hands.  This path has not changed for 2000+ years.  Lets not get caught up in the tradition that men have added over time, God does not change.
