Jacob 4:6-7
Wherefore, we search the prophets, and we have many revelations and the spirit of prophecy; and having all these witnesses we obtain a hope, and our faith becometh unshaken, insomuch that we truly can command in the name of Jesus and the very trees obey us, or the mountains, or the waves of the sea. Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our weakness that we may know that it is by his grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things.
It is though God that all things are possible. With the power of God on our side we can do anything. Because God has power over everything, if we allow him to be in us, we have power over everything. We do great thing let us remember that it God that does them, but with him all things are possible.

Message 76:5
Satan’s work will be destroyed. The Lord sees the faith and good works of those that do his will. Continue and your way will be pleasant.
The work that God sees us in faith and peace pleases him. If we continue to do his will we will see the destruction of Satan. That destruction is going to happen. I feel sorry for the people who do not know of God and that follow Satan when that happens. It will be a sad day for them. Let us try to continue to do the good works to enjoy peaceful life and not one full of pain that awaits the people who don’t.

Article 10
We believe in the principle of continuous revelation; that the canon of scripture is not full, that God inspires men in every age and among all people, and that he speaks when, where, and through whom he may choose.
God has not finished giving us information. There is no reason to limit him to what we already have. He does this by his Messenger and through prophecies. God can choose any person he wants for the responsibility. The important thing to remember is that God will never contradict himself. Any new revelation must agree with the Gospel in the Bible, The Record of the Nephites, and the Word of the Lord. For further study read Acts 2:17-21, Acts 4:31, Acts 21:9, Joel 2:27-30, 1 Corinthians 2:10, 1 John 2:27, and1 Nephi 13:26.

Article 9.
We believe that in the Bible is contained the word of God; that The Record of the Nephites is an added witness for Christ, and that these contain the fullness of the gospel.
The Bible is a record of the Jews, but there are more people that are part of the House of Israel. The Record of the Nephites is a recorded of the house of Joseph. The Record of the Nephites was translated though the power or God. This allows it to have more accurate information that complements the Bible. Both the Bible and the Record of the Nephites are the word of God. For further study read Ezekiel 37:15-19, Malachi 3:1-7, Isaiah 29:11-14, Message 115:14, Message 104:12, Amos 3:7, 2 Nephi 29:11-12, and 1 Nephi 13:26.

Message 41:12
“I will cause my servants to be strong in the Lord that they shall stand before multitudes and proclaim the message of life to many that know it not, and thousands shall obey, for they shall come from afar and the hosts of Israel shall know their places. Therefore, be of good cheer, be pleasant in your work, speak the truth in humility, in kindness be your thoughts. Remember to be faithful and true, and the Lord God shall bring to pass all his strange act and fulfill all the promises that gladden the hearts of all those that think upon the Lord.”
We should be at peace knowing that God is in charge. He tells us to trust him in all that we do. When we are week we can rest and know that God is our strength. He can get us though anything, no matter how hard that it seems.

Today was a great day to cap off the 2010 Assembly of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message. In the morning Elder Edward Coffey lead a word study that covered the 35th and 36th messages. It is amazing how all the words that God gives flow together.
After lunch Evangelist Norris Purifoy talked about how God and his word is always the same and does not change. He is the beginning and the end. We have to follow the true spirit of God and his commandments. We need to do his bidding, not our own.
After Norris taught, Evangelist Chris Laws spoke on repentance and baptism. We have to follow God’s plan to receive our salvation, we can not alter it in any way. That way is by Faith, Repentance, and Baptism.
Right before dinner, Aaron E. Staley was baptized into the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message. It was a great celebration of a new birth in Christ

In the evening Apostle Terry Laws and Disciple Beck recapped the week and emphasized how we need to follow all the words of God. After Terry spoke sacraments were served to the members present.

This morning Disciple Beck continued his video presentation on the missionary trip to Africa. It was amazing to watch the people half way around the word love the same God with the same belief. After Robert was finished, Apostle Terry did a word study on the 34th Message.
In the afternoon Elder Darrin Bellamy preached on the need for faith and how it plays a role in our walk with God.
Also in the afternoon Evangelist Chris Laws preached on the topic of action and how we are supposed to follow God’s will not our own. Not every action is of God, but no action is not the answer either.
In the evening service Elder Phil Meihls recounted some of his favorite verses from the message book.

God really bless this afternoon and evening Terry Laws talked about obedience to the word of God and being accountable to yourself and God. Terry also taught about the one true spirit of God and how we need to follow it and not the spirit of the Devil.
In the evening service Robert Beck talked about one church and how we need to work together in the peace of the Lord. Robert taught us that that we need to do our job and not worry about everyone else. Satan has put his hands on lots of people who are trying to stop the true word of God. If we stand together in the truthfulness of Christ, God will prevail.

Message 69:9
“This is a holy work and mankind must come humbly before the Lord. Let repentance and baptism be the answer in action by each one coming into this work. Let the hands be laid on all that the Spirit might come to them in great power and deliverance in time of trials. Let great faith rule in love. Let peace be in each heart and soul, in your homes, and avoid contentions. Trust not in traditions of men, nor the ways of man, nor flesh. They will not save you.”
When we are looking for the truth that Jesus teaches us in the bible, it is important to get to basics and find it ourselves. We need to know what we believe is true because God told us through the sprite, not our friends or family. Each one of us has our own salvation to worry about, and only we can attain it. To be able to join God’s church, there has to be a path that has been set forth to follow. That path is repentance, baptism, and laying on of hands. This path has not changed for 2000+ years. Lets not get caught up in the tradition that men have added over time, God does not change.
