Message 40:6
Great shall be the joy in the hearts of men for they will hear the Lord’s words and humble themselves before him. The law of the Lord shall be written in each heart and all men will obey his will.
I cannot wait until this day. Each person on earth will know the truth of the Lord. There will be no man made additions or changes. There will be no denying Christ. All of mankind will know and understand who is Lord. The only question is will you be ready?

Message 63:2
The pruning has begun and shall be for man must know the full plan and obey that they may bring forth much fruit, and that of the Spirit of the Lord.
The time of cleansing has started. We must remember to follow the Lord and obey him if we want to be counted as one of his own. Study and stay humble and we will be blessed.

Message 59:4-5
I cried repentance in the days that are past, my message is repentance today. Let all men repent of their sins and selfish ways, for sin cannot receive the glory of God nor the power of the Lamb slain. Except they repent they cannot be redeemed from that awful state. For the Lord has prepared the way of redemption and he has spoken. It is Christ’s words that shall judge all men, therefore, he cannot use man of his own way, for man’s heart is filled with selfishness. Preach repentance, and baptisms, that the honest of heart may come unto the Lord. This message is to all nations. Contend not over the evils of man, but send the message I bring to the ends of the earth. Many shall yet turn to serve the Lord with full purpose of heart.
Repentance is the key to the gospel of Christ. Without true repentance there can be no salvation. We must not let our pride get in our way, but we must humble ourselves before our Lord and ask forgiveness.

3rd Nephi 6:14-16
And thus there became a great inequality in all the land, insomuch that the church began to be broken up; yea, insomuch that in the thirtieth year the church was broken up in all the land save it were among a few of the Lamanites which were converted unto the true faith; and they would not depart from it, for they were firm, and steadfast, and immoveable, willing with all diligence to keep the commandments of the Lord. Now the cause of this iniquity of the people was this—Satan had great power, unto the stirring up of the people to do all manner of iniquity, and to the puffing them up with pride, tempting them to seek for power, and authority, and riches, and the vain things of the world. And thus Satan did lead away the hearts of the people to do all manner of iniquity; therefore they had not enjoyed peace but a few years.
What happened to the Lamanites also has happened to mankind today. We have gotten so worried about ourselves and the stuff in our lives that we have walked away from God. Don’t be like that, keep God in the front and don’t worry about earthly problems.

Message 102:9
Let all that come this way be repentant and very humble, not ridiculing nor boisterous, but filled with love and peace. Let humility be your cloak and mantle.
The actions of people who follow Christ are simple to do, but are so important. We must not let the devil to creep into our lives and allow us to act in ways that God does not want. We must be filled with love and humble before the Lord.

Matthew 6:5-8
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Let us be mindful of who we are praying to and the reason we pray. If we pray for our glory in the eyes of man we will not answers, just sadness in the eyes of our father. We must remember to keep ourselves humble in our prayers.

Message 66:11
The Lord in all ages has chosen man to do his bidding. Some humble themselves and have been and are true, others listen and have listened to the whisperings of Satan and where are they? Man may choose whom he will serve. Some have become evil and are as wolves in sheep’s clothing. Fear them not and have no part with them. Therefore, except they repent let them have no part in this work. Some will yet repent, others will go to destruction.
In order to fulfill God’s wishes for each of us we must remember to be humble. When we stop being humble that is the first step of falling away from the Lord and closer to Satan. We must not become evil and take the sheep away from our Lord. We must strive to keep Gods commandments and keep our eye on the prize.

Message 6:11
Be humble in your work. Be longsuffering with others; and if you will do this God will give you his Spirit from time to time to enlighten your mind, that the work you do might be accepted of him. Amen.”
Staying humble is one of the hardest things to do, but it is one of the most important. We cannot allow ourselves to think we are more than we are. Only through God can we obtain our true potential but in life and on our spiritual walk. Stay grounded and you will continue to grow.

Mosiah 4:9-12
Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he hath all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend. And again, believe that ye must repent of your sins and forsake them, and humble yourselves before God; and ask in sincerity of heart that he would forgive you; and now,
if you believe all these things see that ye do them. And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness, and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceeding great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and longsuffering towards you unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel. And behold, I say unto you that if ye do this ye shall always rejoice, and be filled with the love of God, and always retain a remission of your sins; and ye shall grow in the knowledge of the glory of him that created you, or in the knowledge of that which is just and true.
If we humble ourselves before God we will receive his blessings. We have to do this to truly have our sins forgiven. Being humble is not something that we say we are, it is something that we do.

Proverbs 16:18-19
Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud.
If we fill ourselves full of pride we will be met with destruction. But if we fill ourselves with humility we will be met with blessings of the Lord.

Psalms 34:1-6
I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.
God will bless those who cry onto him in a contrite sprit. He wants people to come to him with humility and love. If we do this he will deliver us from our troubles and give us the support that we need of him.

Helaman 4:12-13
And it was because of the pride of their hearts, because of their exceeding riches, yea, it was because of their oppression to the poor, withholding their food from the hungry, withholding their clothing from the naked, and smiting their humble brethren upon the cheek, making a mock of that which was sacred, denying the spirit of prophecy and of revelation, murdering, plundering, lying, stealing, committing adultery, raising up in great contentions, and deserting away into the land of Nephi, among the Lamanites— And because of this their great wickedness, and their boastings in their own strength, they were left in their own strength; therefore they did not prosper, but were afflicted and smitten, and driven before the Lamanites, until they had lost possession of almost all their lands.
As go through our lives we must remember to take care of those who need our help. We cannot think that possessions and money is what defines us. It is what we do with that stuff that defines us. What do you do with your blessing, keep them or share them?

Message 94:17
Much good has come from this Assembly of the people of the Lord. I have been with you. Swing wide the gate—go forth, the truth is set before you.
If we come and meet at the assembly with love and humility in our hearts, the Lord will bless us in our lives. We need to take the opportunity after the assembly to use our new found energy and use it for the good of Christ. We need to take the things we learned and go out and tell the world about Christ.

Message 60:12
Gather in the assembly and cry unto the Lord. Let no evil come among you. The Lord will hear all those that repent and obey his will. Let your prayers be of the heart. Let not contention be found among you.
As we gather next week we need to keep our eye on the prize. This means that we must come to the assembly with a broken heart and contrite spirit. We cannot come to worship the Lord with contention in our hearts.

Message 65:2
Verily, the Lord has heard the prayers of the faithful who have cried from the heart; therefore he has and will bless all that do his will. Let all be calm and sedate in the Lord; not boastful nor wise in their own conceit. Remember, love is your mission, to preach and teach repentance with faith in God that salvation may come to all who will hear and obey the word of the Lord.
Love is the most important thing that we show in our lives and work. If we don’t have love, and if it does not show through us cannot be successful in our daily lives or our walk with God. If we have love then we will no problem with humility.

Message 104:31
Some have sought to be great in the work of the Lord and have stood in the way. Leave the bitterness depart—come together in peace. The directions will come from the Lord.
If we go into the church thinking that we are going to be great for the Lord and that we will do amazing things all we do is become a hindrance to the ones that follow God’s plan. Being humble is an important part of working for the Lord. Without that we cannot be successful.

1 Thessalonians 2:4-9
But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children: So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us. For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.
When we preach the word of God we must not get in the way. We need to let God’s love and peace shine through us so that the world can see God. We must remain humble and obedient to our master. For if we do our job well, no one will talk about us, but they will talk about Christ.

Message 56:6
Thus saith the Lord, ‘I will lead my people if they will be humble and keep my commandments. Hear ye that are honest of heart and will be humble before me. You shall be tried as Job and many shall learn obedience.’
God tells us right up front that we will have difficulties in our life. But he also says that he will lead us. If we follow God and stay humble there is only one place that we can go, and that is to heaven. So even if times are hard, God will be there to lead us to the reward.

Let’s try this again from yesterday.
Luke 18:10-14
Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
Every person on earth is a sinner, but how we handle it is important. If we humble ourselves before God and ask for forgiveness we will be saved. If we boast about how good we are we are not doing what God wants. He want a humble people who rely on him.

Message 91:18
See those that think themselves to be great, seeking prominency, moreover seeking the praise of mankind. Their works do show their nothingness and will not endure the sword of truth and justice.
We have to be humble in our works and our words. Christ does not want us to brag or show off our accomplishments. He wants us to be obedient servants who each do our own tasks.
