Message 56:6

Thus saith the Lord, ‘I will lead my people if they will be humble and keep my commandments. Hear ye that are honest of heart and will be humble before me. You shall be tried as Job and many shall learn obedience.’

God tells us right up front that we will have difficulties in our life. But he also says that he will lead us. If we follow God and stay humble there is only one place that we can go, and that is to heaven. So even if times are hard, God will be there to lead us to the reward.

Galatians 6:6-9

Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things. Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

If our actions are of the flesh, we can expect to receive corruption in return. Man cannot hold onto the truth without the help of God. If our actions are spiritual in nature and in according to the plan of God we will receive everlasting life with our God. I know which one I want to have in the end.

Galatians 6:2-5

Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself. But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden.

Each of us has our own responsibility. We cannot ride other coat tails and then expect to receive the benefits. The reward when we live our own lives and take control of what we do is great. If we do our own work for God we will receive great blessings and reward.

Message 47:12

Many will come to worship the Lord and because of those that keep and do his will, he will cause that they shall overcome: they that are patient to keep his words shall be delivered from the hour of temptation. They that overcome shall drink of the water of life freely.

Today we have another verse show us our reward if we stay true to the word of God. Staying true can be very difficult at times, but is worth it. We must patiently wait for the day when this life is going to end, and we get to spend eternity with our God.

Matthew 5:2-12

And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying, Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

When we are having difficulties in life, God is always there. He gives us strength when we need and support when we are week. Life is hard, but with God’s help we will receive our just rewarded.
